Milton "Moe" Roger Davis

It is with deep sadness on Thursday April 11, 2024; 50 days before his 94th Birthday, in the presents of his loved ones, that Milton (Moe) passed from this life into the presence of His Lord and Saviour..

Moe was born June 1st 1930, in Bracebridge to Harry and Lillie Bell (Harbridge) Davis who predeceased him.

After a courageous battle with cancer, he left this world for a far better place.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Vera Davis (Vincent) of 65 years, his daughter Sandra (Craig) Ward, grandchildren Danielle and Ethan (Chelsea) and great grandchildren, Alexa, Kaydin, and Janey.

Moe grew up in the Bracebridge area and spent a lot of his time on the steamships with his father and uncle navigating the waters of the Muskoka Lakes.  He also enjoyed being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and canoeing.  In his younger years, he built many Lakecraft vessels and then went on to be a carpenter building numerous homes.  One of his major accomplishments was helping with the construction of the old Sundial Hotel in Orillia, which has since been demolished. Moe ended his career with over 25 years of working with Bracebridge Hydro.

Moe always enjoyed getting together with family and friends and having a jam session playing his guitar and singing.  He sang in the church they attended and also with a family group called “The Generations”, which was with some of his very talented family. He enjoyed going out to retirement homes and entertaining them.

Moe will be deeply missed by his family. There will be a private family service and interment at Bracebridge Municipal Cemetery.

In lieu of remembrance, donations to Hospice Huntsville would be greatly appreciate by Moe’s family.
