Douglas Kennedy

On Christmas morning in his 83rd year Douglas Kennedy came to the end of his earthly journey.  He had a life well spent in love of his family, Canadian War History, the outdoors, and the Muskoka area.   The last few years as his body weakened, his mind did not, and he recalled the great moments of his life with those who loved him.  He enjoyed being told stories in person, through film (especially War Movies and Westerns), and Music (especially Country Music).  He cared passionately about his local community, especially his birthplace of Bracebridge, where he proudly attended the annual fall fair of, well into his 80s.

He leaves behind his wife of fourth-six years Margret (nee Wilson), his children April and Sherri, grandchildren McAyla, Ayden, and Caitlin, his sister Barbra, and his sisters and brothers in law Lillian and her husband Gerald, Fern, Sandra, Robert, and Cathy (Kate), and many nieces and nephews especially Debbie and Dale.   Gone before him and awaiting him on another shore are his parents Clarence and Alice, his sisters Margaret and Lois, and his brothers and sisters in law George, Francis, and Fred. 

A celebration of his life will be held in January at a date and time to be announced.
