Robert William "Bob" Nicholson

On Wednesday, July 17, 2019 Bob was reunited with the love of his life, Gerry (predeceased February 6, 2019)

He was born in Macaulay Township on September 9, 1937 to Ann (nee Zona) and Bill Nicholson (both predeceased) From the age of 5, he was raised by his grandparents, Lena and Albert Jackson, in Bracebridge.  After marrying Gerry Maynard on September 2, 1960, they moved to Huntsville, where Bob worked for Lands and Forest, then water control for the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Bob’s loving, kind, gentle and humorous spirit lives on in his 2 children, Steve Nicholson (Ana Harcourt) of Toronto, Lori Nicholson (Dave Mortimer) of Huntsville, and his 3 grandchildren, Kailey Fisher (Calvin Connor) of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Carissa Fisher (Jamie Proulx) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and Jay Tarrant of Beaumont, Alberta. He was the older brother to Sharon West (Rob, predeceased) and Fred Zona (Patti). Uncle to Wayne, Brandi, Rick, Sandy, Bobbi-Lane, and Joey.  Extended family to Jim, Vina, Dave, Lori and Andy Sinclair, Bob and Reggie Paris (both predeceased) “Bobby Baby” to Barry (predeceased) and Deulynn Eeles, Kelly Dunklee, Bryan Eeles and Monique Eeles-Cumming.

Bob loved the outdoors and spending time with family/friends.

 In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no service.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Fairvern Nursing Home would be sincerely appreciated.
