Paul Gallaugher, with his only daughter Elizabeth by his side passed away peacefully on Monday June 1, 2020 at Fairvern Nursing Home, Huntsville. Paul Gallaugher in his 87th year, beloved husband of the late Janet Gallaugher (Feb. 10, 2020). Loving father of Bob ( Karen ) ,Dave ( Norma ) ,  Steven , Elizabeth ( Martin ) and Brian.

Dear grandfather to Gillian, Jody, Robbie, Derek, Ashley, Allison, Cassie, Kristina, Dana, and Briana. Great Grandfather of Avery and Jack. Sadly missed by his in-laws, Raymond Lowe ( June ) , Patricia Anderson ( John ) and Malcom Lowe ( Marnie ).

Predeceased by his parents Irene Bell and Tom Gallaugher.

Paul was born and raised in Toronto by his grandmother Elizabeth and his Aunt Olive Gallaugher. Before meeting his love Janet in Nottingham he worked from 1951 - 1954 in Canadian Air Force with the data processing unit in Langar Air force Base England. Just out side of Nottingham.

Once Janet arrived on the Queen Mary from Nottingham England they were married on April 7th, 1955 in Toronto, Ontario.   Paul then started at Nestle Canada. He also had a part time job in the early 1970's at Ryerson College at night, teaching data processing, to help support his family of 5 children.  Eventually Paul retired from Nestle Canada as sales manger in 1988.

In the early 60's Paul would pick up the mail form the train in Huntsville and deliver it to the post office in Melissa, Ontario. Where in 1963 Paul and Janet built a cottage on Ripple Lake just north of Huntsville, Ontario where they enjoyed the cottage life until that little cottage was turned into a brand new home for retirement in 1988 on Ripple Lake.   They both enjoyed retirement with family and their many close friends. Paul always loved listening to his wife Janet singing by the fires on the lake or from their view on the front deck over looking the breath taking sunset on Ripple Lake.  

Cremation  has been taken. A graveside service will be held  - Details will be posted on this site once arranged, Please revisit.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Heart and Stoke or the Huntsville Senior Center Club 55.
