Ida Mae Tonks

Ida Tonks, age 91, of Huntsville Ontario, passed peacefully on Sunday January 2, 2022 at Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville.

Ida was born on September 27, 1930 to Abraham and Laura Lacombe in Whitney, Ontario.

 After living in various locations throughout Canada, Ida finally settled in Huntsville where she worked for 36 years at the local A&P.

 Ida was a long-time member (50 years) of the Huntsville Legion Ladies Auxiliary as well as a member of Club 55.

 Ida loved to spend her leisure time at golf, darts, cards, bowling, travelling, and square dancing.

 Ida was predeceased by husband James and siblings; Leah, Donald, and Channie.

 Ida is survived by siblings Theresa Robinson and Carl Lacombe.

 Ida is also survived by her children Richard Rankin, Pamela Rogers, and Jackie Orr, as well as

7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Huntsville on

Friday, June 10th from 2 - 4 pm
