Josephine “Joy” Altreta Webster (nee Nunn) of Novar
Joy passed away on Nov 2, 2022 at the Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville 9 days shy of her 86th birthday. Joy was born in in Novar to Alma (Culyer) and Wesley Nunn. Joy drew great pride in being a 4th generation Novar Pioneer. She was born in a time of horse and buggy and died owning a cell phone and computer. She was predeceased by her siblings Mary Draper, Noel, Vern, Loreath Watkinson, Clyde, and Donna Harley. Joy was also predeceased by her dedicated, and caring husband Carl Webster. She and Carl were the devoted parents of Terry (Bruce Rigby), Brenda (Ken Duguid), Valerie (Jonathan Fieldwebster), and Steve (Debbie Burton). Carl and Joy lived many fulfilling years in Toronto and then were able to realize their dream of moving back to Novar and opening a Campground. They enjoyed many happy years as proprietors of the Tea Kettle Campground. Many people’s lives were enriched by the events they provided. Joy loved nothing better than hosting large family events and dinners. Her 7 Grandchildren Matthew Duguid (Shannon), Corinna Duguid, Jesse Fieldwebster (Mia), Eleanor Rigby, Ben Fieldwebster (Lesley), Levi Webster (Jillian), and Victoria Hougham (Kent), and 9 Great Grandchildren were her pride and joy.
The funeral service will be held at the Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 High Street, Huntsville on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1pm, with visitation 1 hour before service time.
In lieu of flowers Joy has suggested that donations may be made to the Huntsville Hospice, or the Chrysalis House Huntsville.
