Joachim Fred Lindert

With sad hearts we say goodbye to Joachim (Joe) Fred Lindert, age 75. Joe passed away at home on July 17, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on January 2, 1948 in Germany. He came to Canada at a young age and worked as a millwright while growing and supporting his family with his wife Gabriele Lindert (Kopp) of 52 years. His children Jens (Teresa), Andrea and Dirk (Barbara) will miss him dearly. He created lasting memories with his grandchildren, Lukas, Jacob, Owen, Olivia, Matis, Liane and Elora.

Joe and Gaby’s love for the outdoors and nature brought them to Huntsville, Ontario about 37 years ago. He enjoyed tinkering, modifying and fixing anything he could make more efficient, with his creativity and sharp mind. His favourite days were spent with Gabi travelling across Canada, discovering hidden places, a shared dream of theirs.

Honouring Joe’s wishes, there will be a celebration of life in the fall with family and friends in Huntsville, Ontario.
