Sylvia Ann Beattie (nee Griffin)

Sylvia passed unexpectedly on January 29, 2024 in her 87th year. She will be greatly missed by her husband Don, son Paul (Cindy), daughter Sharon (Gord), grandchildren Nial ( Jess ), Dustin, Alex, Sasha, Danny and great granddaughter Lilah. Sylvia will be dearly missed by all friends and family.

Sylvia was known for her big smile, generosity, baking for the church, her weekly hair appointment, mint green outfit and recent love of dogs. With a love of music she enjoyed being a member Ryerson United Church Choir, Ancaster, Ontario. Sylvia was also lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Special thanks to Amber and staff at Levante Muskoka Traditions, Huntsville, Tina and the Huntsville EMS, Huntsville Emergency Services, the Alzheimer’s Society, Dr Brule, Shanna, the Algonquin Geriatric Team, FRIENDS and the Huntsville Royal Canadian Legion for their support and assistance during the past few years.

At her request there will be a small private family service. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 232 Huntsville.
