Terry Douglas Stinson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Douglas Stinson at the age of 75. Left to mourn his passing is his loving wife of 53 years Betty Ann (Sturgeon), daughter Kim (Tim) Hammond, son Kory (Kimberly) Stinson, his sister Susan (Ted) Bionda, along with nieces, nephews, family and friends. Terry was born to the late George and Elva Stinson (Grummet). Predeceased by his brother Don Stinson, survived by his wife Sharon.
Terry started his journey by working at Clayton's General Store in Dorset. He would ride his bike back and forth every day. After Clayton's, he worked a little closer to town at Deerhurst, still riding his bike. In 1970 he started his last and final job at Canusa in Huntsville, where he worked for 45 years, retiring in 2015.
Terry enjoyed playing and watching lacrosse. He played for the Oshawa Green Gaels including winning the championship in 1967. He also helped out with the Taylor Floor Covering Hawks for couple of seasons.
Wherever you saw Terry, whether at the arena, with the McDonald's morning crew, or just on the street, he always had a smile and a big hello for all.
Dad, we will miss you. You are gone but not forgotten.
