Ruth Murdoch

Ruth Murdoch (nee Beatty) was born in Toronto, Ontario and passed away at Muskoka Landing, Huntsville on Saturday, April, 25, 2020 in her 97th year.

She was predeceased by her husband, James (called Jim). She was a devoted mother to Edith (Brian), Bryce (Julie) and Duncan (Pat). Proud grandmother to Stephen (Tena), Jeremy (Jinhee), Andrea (Nick), Aron (Rachel), Colin (Cathy), Nick and Amanda and Great Grandmother to Greyson, Emily, Zoey, Alex, Olivia and Theo. She was predeceased by her brothers Larry (Betty) and Jim, survived by sister in law Ruth.

Ruth lived her childhood in Port Credit, Ontario and graduated from Port Credit High School. She raised her family in Scarborough and Burlington Ontario. Ruth was an accomplished artist and many of her paintings adorned her walls and were admired by all. She was a kind, caring person with a great sense of humour who appreciated life and lived it on her own terms. She made friends everywhere she went.

Her memory will live on with us forever. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Cremation has taken place and a family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
