Marguerite Mae Grimes

Grimes, Marguerite.

We are all sad to announce the passing of Marguerite Mae Grimes born in Huntsville, Ontario on May 8,1923. Marguerite lead a full life and active life until 2011, when her health diminished some-what and she entered the Pines Long Term Healthcare facility.

Marguerite was a considerate and kind person to all she met and would go out of her way to help anyone she could. She played the piano during her younger years and liked to cook family meals and visit with friends.

She worked hard for much of her lifetime along with her husband Seth Grimes. She worked at running a motel business and supported her husband in the long-time garage and car business they worked at in Muskoka.

They lived in various locations such as Toronto, Port Sydney and Utterson, Huntsville and Aspdin during her lifetime. Marguerite was married to Seth Grimes on September 28,1942. She travelled to Nanaimo Vancouver Island and stay there during her husband’s training in WW2.

She then returned and started her family in Muskoka and had three children, Lynda Shultis (Dave), Leonard Grimes (Deceased) and Larry Grimes (Pauline)

She was happy and glad to see her grandkids Brandy, Barbi, Karen, and Stephen and she had three great-grandchildren Tristan, Brock and Christian whom she was very proud of.

She was the daughter of Susie (Olan) and Charlie Chantler that lived most of their lifetime at 11 Princess Street in Huntsville.

Marguerite has three younger siblings Norma Bennett (Ray); Ona Clark pre-deceased (Ran) and Elwood Chantler pre-deceased (Nata)
