Karen Elizabeth Kostick

“Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us."

 Sadly, on Friday, February 25th, 2022 Karen left this earthly realm after a long battle with Cancer at the young age of 56.  

 Karen was known for her outgoing personality and beautiful smile.  You literally could hear her laugh from a mile away. She always knew how to have a good time and she made sure everyone else had a good time, too!  She loved to get people together and exchange laughs which developed into lifetime Friendships.  It was just a natural ability for her.  She enjoyed spending her time with the ones she held close to her heart and her two spoiled dogs, Winston and Patch.

 Karen sincerely enjoyed her summers on the water, spending time in the garden and feeding the wild birds.  She appreciated everything this world had to offer.

 She lived life to the fullest and never went a day without a good laugh. She fought a long and strong battle and she’s a prime example of what not giving up looks like. She smiled at every challenge that came her way.  

 She sadly leaves behind her husband John, Daughter Melissa & Son in-law Jamie, Granddaughter Jillian and Stepdaughter Carly.  

 While Karen's family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember Karen in a way that honours her spirit.  The family will be holding a Celebration of Life Ceremony in June around her Birthday.  The family asks in Lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville.
