Dorothy "Dot" Ivadell Forrest
Dorothy “Dot” Ivadell Forrest passed away at Cooksville Care Centre in Mississauga on March 6, 2022 in her 97th year. Daughter of the late Verna Dales and Lorne Jelly of Grand Valley, Woodstock and Hamilton. Dorothy is predeceased by her beloved husband William (Bill) who passed away in 2019. They were married for 71 years. Dorothy will be forever missed and loved by her three daughters, Pat vanHalm (Robert), Karen Witkowski (Henry) and Sandy Gordon (Dale) and by her grandchildren, Ryan (Kayla), Kevin and Megan (Kyle) and by her great grandson, Travis.
Dorothy is leaving behind many extended family members including her sisters-in-law Billie Forrest (Murray) and Joan Adamson ( Don). Dorothy and Bill were lifelong members of the United Church and they will be missed by many friends in Bracebridge and at Trading Bay on Lake of Bays.
The family would like to acknowledge and extend their appreciation for the wonderful care that was provided at Rogers Cove, at The Regency Retirement Residence and Cooksville Care Centre.
A family celebration will be held for Dorothy and Bill sometime in the future. Dorothy and Bill will be interred together in the Paint Lake Cemetery near their beloved cottage in Dorset.
