Clifton Charles Quinn

Clifton Charles Quinn

Peacefully at Hospice Huntsville on July 31, 2022, in his 88th year.  Survived by his loving wife Ruth and his children Janice Quinn (Paul, deceased), Dennis Quinn (Rose) and Dale Quinn (Jackie).  He will be missed by his grandchildren Brenna, Patrick, Leslie, Marshall, Bayley, Holly and Lydia and by his great grandson Clark.

Clifton (Cliff) was the son of the late Norman and Iva Quinn, brother to Evelyn Campbell (Malcolm, deceased), the late Norma Stickland (Nelson, deceased) and Averil Harvey (Dennis).

Cliff grew up on a small farm in Balsam, Parry Sound district, Ontario.  At a young age he moved to Deep River to begin his 35 year career with Atomic Energy of Canada Limited.  Cliff was an avid gardener with a particular fondness for growing potatoes and green beans. The family took camping trips to the west and east coasts and to many locations in northern Ontario.  In retirement, Cliff and Ruth moved to Eganville, Ontario where Cliff’s sharp carpentry skills were utilized to renovate an older cottage into a lovely home.  In Eganville he joined a local curling team where he honed his skills and made lifelong friendships.  A final move to Huntsville Ontario put them in a central location where friends and family could easily visit and enjoy Cliff’s gentle and welcoming nature.

The family would like to thank Dr. Megan Stephenson and all staff at Hospice Huntsville for their warm and compassionate care of Clifton.

A celebration of Clifton’s life will be held at the McKellar Township Community Centre, 701 Hwy 124, McKellar, ON from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

If desired, donations may be made to Hospice Huntsville/Algonquin Grace Residential Hospice or Muskoka Seniors.
