Nancy Broom

Nancy Broom (nee Westerberg) passed away peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, December 6th, 2023 after a brief illness. She is survived by her three sons Gordon, Alan and Duncan, and her granddaughter Abbie.

Back in 2002 Nancy and her beloved husband Jim fulfilled a lifelong dream and retired to Huntsville, where they spent many wonderful years on the shores of Chub Lake. Following Jim's passing in 2017, Nancy moved to Roger's Cove Retirement Home in 2021 and made several close friends in her time there. 

The family would like to sincerely thank Roger's Cove for the warm and welcoming environment they created for Nancy and their ongoing support for her while there. 

A memorial service will be held for Nancy at Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 High Street, Huntsville on Wednesday, December 13th at 1p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that memorial donations be made in Nancy's name to Hospice Huntsville, who provided such wonderful care to Jim in his final weeks.
