Karen Ann Foster
Karen Ann Foster (Sullivan) died peacefully from Alzheimer’s on October 16th, 2023 at the Prince George Hospice House in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of Timothy (Tim) Foster. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary, March 30th, 2023. Proud mother to Trina Fyfe (David) and Mary Jane Howland (Peter), and dear “Nana” to Foster (Trina) and Lucy (Mary Jane). Sister of Colleen (Tom), Dennis (Christine), John (Sheri), Trina (Dave), Claudia (Jack), and Timmy (Ducille). Karen was born in Thorold, Ontario, moving to Huntsville, Ontario in 1973 with Tim for work and to start a family. They moved to Prince George, British Columbia in 2018 to be closer to their grandchildren. Karen was an avid seamstress, having a small business selling beautiful bags in the Muskoka region. She would make her daughters everything from matching dresses to Halloween costumes. Karen was an active member of the Catholic Women’s League for 40 years, a member of the Friends of the Library for the Huntsville Public Library, played softball, and loved watching her grandchildren’s sports activities. Together, Karen and Tim loved camping in their tiny trailer and camped across the country when they moved to Prince George. The family will be forever grateful for the amazing care Karen received by the healthcare providers and volunteers at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia and Prince George Hospice House.
