Gino Magistrale

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gino Magistrale on March 14, 2025. He immigrated from Italy at the age of 15 and built himself a future. He met his wife, Ingrid, whom he adored, and together they relocated to Baysville in 1965 to start their life on Lake of Bays and raise a family.

After retiring from the A&P, he devoted his retirement years to his wife, children and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Ingrid, son Anthony (Heather) Magistrale, his daughter Jennifer (Gregory) Pitts, his grandchildren Maggie, Anna, Ryan and Mia, his brother Mike and sister-in-law Carolina (Tony), and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in passing by his parents Vito and Domenica, his brothers Tony, Frank, Andre and sister Lina (Sam) Molfetta.

Nothing meant more to Gino than his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. His warmth, kindness, and sense of humour left an imprint on all who knew him. He shared his love of the outdoors with his family. He was very well known for his ability to build or fix anything and his skill in his vegetable garden. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all those who knew him and took part in his many many stories.
